Frequently Asked Questions

Compatibility

Will SRC2000-S replace my Safe-T-Alert 25-741?

Yes. Both are surface-mount dual-gas detectors with the same screw pattern and 12V hardwiring. SRC2000-S adds a digital LCD readout that Safe-T-Alert 25-741 does not have.

What about Atwood Series 30?

Atwood discontinued the Series 30, so all replacements must move to a different brand. SRC2000-S handles surface-mount Atwood installs; PRC2000 handles flush. See the Atwood replacement guide →

What's the cutout dimension for PRC2000?

3" × 4-1/2" (76 × 114 mm), depth 1-1/4" (32 mm) behind the panel. This matches Safe-T-Alert 30-442 series.

Specifications

What is the alarm threshold?

CO pre-alarm at 75 ppm, full alarm at 150 ppm (per UL 2034). Propane (LP) alarm at 25% LEL (per UL 1484). The 75 ppm CO pre-alarm is a key SENSYX differentiator — most competitors only alarm at 150 ppm.

What is the sensor lifespan?

5 years. The retail-sale start date is printed on the housing so you know exactly when to replace.

Voltage range?

8-24 VDC. Works on low-battery scenarios (down to 8V) and 24V truck campers — wider than the typical 12V-only competitor.

What sensor is inside?

A FIGARO sensor (made in Japan). The FIGARO sensor element is UL Recognized at the component level. Most competitors do not publicly disclose their sensor source.

UL & Safety Standards

Is SENSYX UL Listed?

SENSYX SRC2000-S and PRC2000 are tested to UL 1484 (LP) and UL 2034 (CO) standards, and the internal FIGARO sensor element is UL Recognized at the component level. The finished product itself is not UL Listed. Safe-T-Alert holds a UL Listing on the finished product; SENSYX does not. For most RV-owner use cases this distinction does not affect day-to-day safety; if your fleet or insurer specifically requires a UL-Listed finished product, choose Safe-T-Alert.

Brand & Company

Why does my PRC2000 say PANGAEA on it?

PANGAEA's gas detector line was consolidated into SENSYX. Existing inventory ships with PANGAEA branding because that's how it was manufactured. Same engineering, same warranty, same parent company (SIXPINES PRODUCTS INC owns both brands). Future production will ship under unified SENSYX branding.

Who makes SENSYX?

SIXPINES PRODUCTS INC, based in The Woodlands, Texas. SENSYX is a registered USPTO trademark (serial 7536340). All US-based customer support, warranty processing, and shipping originate from Texas.
