Warranty

SENSYX SRC2000-S and PRC2000 detectors are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, in addition to the 5-year sensor lifespan engineered into the FIGARO sensor element.

What's covered

  • Defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the original purchase date.
  • Premature sensor failure (sensor not reaching its rated 5-year lifespan, with retail-sale start date printed on the housing).
  • Display, alarm, and electronic component failure under normal use.

What's not covered

  • Damage from improper installation, water ingress, physical impact, or use outside the rated voltage range (8-24 VDC).
  • Sensor expiration beyond the printed 5-year lifespan.
  • Cosmetic wear (housing scratches, faded labels, etc.).
  • Detectors purchased through unauthorized resellers (third-party Amazon, eBay, used-equipment sales).

How to file a warranty claim

  1. Email warranty@sensyxsafety.com with: your order number or receipt, photos of the unit (including the printed start date and serial number on the housing), and a description of the issue.
  2. We respond within one business day with troubleshooting (some issues resolve with a power cycle or sensor recalibration) or a return authorization.
  3. If a replacement is approved, we ship a new unit free of charge from Texas. Standard ground shipping; expedited available at cost.

Original PANGAEA-branded units

PRC2000 units shipped with PANGAEA branding are covered under the same SENSYX warranty terms. The PANGAEA gas detector line was consolidated into SENSYX; both brands are owned by SIXPINES PRODUCTS INC. Send your warranty request to the same address above.
